Lost Innocents is a multi-media educational project, which explores the terrifying practice of using children in armed conflict. Up to half a million children are engaged in more than 85 conflicts around the world.
They are abducted, recruited or pressed into service by government forces, paramilitaries and civilian militias. Brutalized and degraded, thousands of fractured boys and girls are coerced to become fighters, spies, scouts, couriers, porters, and sex slaves. Child soldiers are the ultimate weapons of 21st Century war – easily
manufactured, lethal and disposable.

Lost Innocents seeks to bring awareness, promote dialogue and search for solutions regarding this pressing issue through a series of education initiatives including an interactive website, mobile phone technology and educational gaming centered around the production of the documentary film Innocents Lost: Child Soldiers at War.
